Oakland Firesafe Council (Sue Piper & Doug Mosher). The Oakland Firesafe Council is a grassroots community-based organization dedicated to mobilizing the people of Oakland and Alameda County to reduce the risks of wildfire danger to people and property through outreach, programs, and projects.

Sheryl Drinkwater has over 25 years of experience working in the residential design and building industry, is a licensed architect in the state of California and a LEED Accredited Design Professional. She is a Cal OESDisaster Service Worker/Safety Evaluator and a Red Cross Home Disaster Assessor. Additionally, Sheryl is a board member of the Diablo Fire Safe Council – a homeowner wildfire protection education group covering Alameda and Contra Costa counties, and the Red Cross liaison for the City of Berkeley’s Office of Emergency Services.
