Covid Command Center) and Barbara Morita\, PA (and disaster first responder) to discuss the current state of vaccines\, what’s on the horizon\, and what vaccines mean for our recovery from this pandemic.After the discussion\, there will be a Q&A session addressing questions submitted ahead of time (email to info@bdpnnetwork.org). Time permitting\, Zoom chat questions will also be discussed. \nRECORDING OF EVENT \nJAMES D. MARKS\, M.D.\, Ph.D. is a professor in the Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care at the University of California\, San Francisco (UCSF) and Chief of Performance Excellence at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center (ZSFG). For the last year\, Dr. Marks has been deployed to the San Francisco Covid Command Center (CCC) which oversees and manages the County of San Francisco’s response to Covid. At the CCC\, Dr. Marks has served as Advanced Planning Unit Lead\, Incident Commander and currently as Planning Section Chief. \nBARBARA MORITA has 30 years experience as a Physician Assistant providing health care in medically underserved communities in the Bay Area\, Health Care for the Homeless\, and migrant farm workers. As a member of CA-6 Disaster Medical Assistance team she has first-hand disaster response experience including the World Trade Center in 2001\, Hurricane Katrina in 2005\, and the wildfires of 2007. She was previously the Emergency Preparedness Coordinator for the Alameda Health Consortium of Community Clinics. She currently provides emergency preparedness consultation and training to Community Clinics and neighborhood groups in the East Bay.
