SUMMARY:East Bay Community Emergency Prep Fair
DESCRIPTION:A public community-based event to demonstrate that a cohesive and resilient community is the best beginning to prepare for and respond to a disaster. This will be a family-friendly event\, with a focus on seniors and people with disabilities. A grass-roots effort planned and executed by a coalition of community groups and individuals\, featuring demonstrations of disaster response techniques\, and information on how best to prepare for various scenarios. The event will focus not on fear but on the positive power of community. \nProgram: \nKids’ Events (Grassy Stage): \n11:30 – Storytelling with Berkeley Public Library’s Erica Glenn. Kids age 3-6 and their families are welcome to come hear stories and fun songs about community\, disaster preparedness\, and helping each other.   \n12:30 – Sing-along with Erika Englund and East Bay Community Music Project \n1:00 – Kuk Sul Won Martial Arts Demonstration \n2:00 – Kids’ songs with Braving the Elements \n1:00 – 2:30 BFD fire engine! \nPresentation: \n10:15 – Welcome!
